SurveyScribe helps you record, structure, and complete property surveys using your voice—so you can stay focused on the inspection, not the paperwork.

Instead of relying on handwritten notes or post-visit admin, SurveyScribe turns spoken observations into clear, structured survey records as you work. Start recording on-site, speak naturally as you move through the property, and let AI organise your findings into usable outputs.

Everything is designed to reduce friction in the field and speed up report completion afterwards.

With SurveyScribe, you can:

  • Capture survey notes with your voice
    Record observations in real time without stopping to write or type

  • Automatically transcribe and structure findings
    Turn raw audio into organised, readable survey content

  • Work continuously or in multiple sessions
    Pause, resume, and manage recordings across a site visit

  • Capture photos of the property
    Photos will be named and added to the appropriate section of the report (forthcoming), and kept in your photo album for easy embedding in a corporate system or sharing with clients.

  • Review and refine outputs after the visit
    Edit, adjust, and finalise structured survey notes, then share as a formatted PDF or output as RTF / Text for inputting into a reporting system

  • Build a consistent record of inspections
    Keep a history of past surveys and revisit them at any time

SurveyScribe respects your privacy. The app is designed to help you capture, transcribe, and structure property survey information efficiently, while keeping your data secure and under your control.

Information We Collect

SurveyScribe processes information that you provide during use of the app. This may include:

  • audio recordings captured during surveys

  • transcribed text generated from those recordings

  • structured survey outputs and notes

  • app settings and preferences

Some data is stored locally on your device. Where transcription or processing services are used, relevant data may be securely transmitted to backend services to enable those features.

How Your Data Is Used

Your data is used solely to:

  • transcribe audio recordings into text

  • structure and organise survey observations

  • allow you to review, edit, and manage survey records

  • maintain app functionality and performance

SurveyScribe does not sell or rent your data to third parties.

Data Storage

  • Data may be stored locally on your device using Apple-native storage technologies

  • Where required for functionality (e.g. transcription), data may be processed via secure backend services

  • Processed outputs may be stored temporarily or persistently to support your use of the app

We aim to minimise data retention and only store what is necessary to provide the service.

Data Processing and Security

If audio or text is transmitted for processing:

  • it is sent securely using encrypted connections

  • it is handled only for the purpose of providing transcription and structuring features

  • we do not use your data to train models unless explicitly stated

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, SurveyScribe may send local notifications on your device, such as:

  • reminders related to survey sessions

  • processing or completion alerts

These notifications are generated either on-device or via secure app services. We will never use these notifications for sales purposes.

Analytics and Tracking

SurveyScribe does not use third-party advertising SDKs.

We may use minimal, privacy-focused analytics to understand app performance and improve functionality. These analytics do not identify you personally.

SurveyScribe does not track you across apps or websites.

We would appreciate your feedback, and will incorporate your constructive criticism into any future developments.

Data Sharing

SurveyScribe does not share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising.

Data may be processed by trusted service providers only where necessary to deliver core functionality (such as transcription), and only under appropriate data protection safeguards.

Your Choices

You can:

  • review, edit, or delete survey records within the app

  • control app permissions (e.g. microphone, notifications) via iOS settings

  • remove the app from your device, which deletes locally stored data (subject to iOS system behaviour)

Children’s Privacy

SurveyScribe is not intended for use by children and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Updated versions will be made available with a revised effective date.
