Risk and Resilience Consultancy

Risk and Resilience

Every business faces uncertainty. Supply disruption, rising costs, changing customer expectations, cyber incidents, regulatory pressure, staffing challenges and operational shocks can all affect performance. For SMEs, these risks can be especially difficult to manage because time, capacity and specialist expertise are often limited.

We work with you to understand your business, identify the risks that matter most, and design proportionate systems that fit your size, sector and goals. This may include risk registers, risk assessment processes, resilience planning, supplier-risk reviews, business continuity tools, reporting templates and practical guidance for managers.

This can range from focused advice on preparing your business for an uncertain future, through to a fully developed suite of risk management tools aligned with ISO 31000:2018.

This is all developed from years of implementing risk management strategies in large complex situations and organisations, combined with deep academic and analytical insights customised to our clients.

Training and Capability Building

The following outlines are intended to upskill you or your team. We will work with you to ensure that your strategic context is considered, and your goals integrated into the delivery.

Each of the courses is intended to be delivered either in person or online to suit your organisation

We are able to customise any of the below courses, or work with you to design the ideal package for your aspirations.

Strategic Contract Management

This course is designed to be delivered over a whole day.
We have designed it to be ideal for contract and procurement managers working with complex supply relationships that require a fresh set of tools. We will work through the fundamentals of contract management with an eye on the strategic aims of the organisation. The course then goes beyond traditional approaches towards the current ‘state of the art’ in contract performance management.

This course is designed to run over either a half day as an introduction to the topic, or over a full day to delve into the issues more deeply.
We tackle the thorny issue of risk management, and how it can be used to derive maximum opportunity for an organisation. We will look beyond the most common risk management perspectives to find management insights that can be applied in every context.

Aligned with the principles of ISO31000, participants will exit the course with an excellent overview of the topic, and some practical management tools.

We have designed half day and full day short courses for different aspects of procurement.
Our trainers have extensive experience in public and private procurement, including large scale capital investment, indirect and direct categories. This course will equip managers with the knowledge and tools to effectively engage with what may seem to be unsurmountable procurement projects. We believe that 'value' generation is the core of every procurement project, and have built this course around that focus.

Participants will leave with a range of tools and insights that can be applied to projects of any size.
